The flocking birds of one feather - In the island ecosystem, everything has a place. And everyone has a job.Some jobs can be normal. Some jobs can be odd.Some jobs are so odd, that it lacks mere definition.Some are so diligently undertaken, that jobbers become associated with trouble. And ridiculed for their efficiency. To the average islander, the crow is pest, at best. Ugh, the horrible voice. And that ugly blackness. And those appalling table mannners, God. Islanders are very wary of the crows stealing habits. Even soap bars from bathrooms has to guarded with caution. Reason enough to see not one single bird being domesticated. Life of the island crows are harsh, but they are highly functional, and exceptional at their job.

Gate at the point graffiti - I have a hard time coming up with names and titles for my photos. Of spots and locations from my travels. This photo is about 20 minutes ride away from home. Deserted most of the time... but i suspect is used by lovers at odd times. There were a lot of graffiti, love notes, names and hearts carved on the trees. Hence the name.

Futuristic - "I will always feel sad while passing this point... now that i have seen plans of the expansion project. Next door is airport built by the british RAF during second world war. Now authorities are looking into ways of lengthening this airport, to fit in with modern standards. The extension will affect (environmentally) all nearby islands, including those in view. Water here is already knee deep, and forecasts are..., the whole area will dry up, because of disruptions in the flow."

Observatory - Elevated to suit needs..., when at war with pirates (high), or when at times of peace, low (as shown here)...this is the focal point of any island. Observatories are a practical necessity for the islanders. Because, it is here, that discussions take place, which leads to major decisions. (Not in the political island office... where it is usually a one man show.)
