An afternoon in Oxford

Friday, 31 August 2007 21:19 by hafa

I arrived in Oxford with my family at 1.00 o'clock in the afternoon. The aim was to do lots before nightfall and to return to Birmingham. So we bought tickets to go on the Open top bus. It is a double deacker bus but upstairs of it isn't covered so we could see everything. We got headphones and we pluged it in and it tells us what place that the bus is passing by. After one hour the bus tour finished and we got off at the next stop.

After that, we went to a nearby garden. There were lots of nice flowers and plants and it looked beautiful. We walked around the garden until we were tired. Then we tried to find a way out but we didn't. We asked a man who was waiting at the gate where the city was. He told us the directions and we followed it and got to the next bus stop. So we waited and took the bus to the railway staion. There we got the tickets and got on to the train. I was so hungry in the train so we went into the little shop in the train and i bought a small packet of apple juice, Salted Peanuts and a Mars chocolate bar. Soon it was time to get off at Birmingham New Street station. Not so long and I was at home. I had a great day at Oxford and I think you should go there as well!

Moving On

Saturday, 25 August 2007 09:14 by hafa

It's about one year since i came here and it is time to move on. Me and my family are thinking of moving into new house. Its so magical because we keep moving our house every year. We are about to do that again.

The house we are going to is really nice with a nice garden as well and it is the same price as the house we now live in. But the sad thing is I have to move school because it is too far away. I really like my friends at Tiverton but I want to live in a nicer house so i decided to move school and go to a new house. What will be your choice move school and go to a new house or to stay at the same school and same old house?

This is my new house that we are thinking to move into.

A big queue at the BBQ!

Friday, 17 August 2007 09:10 by hafa

It was a nice sunny day in summer and the tanents that live around the house decided to organise a barbarque just behind the house we live in. So we went there at 4.00 in the evening. There were lots of things to eat. I ate the chicken kababs, chips, watermelon and lemonade. I loved the food!

After that i went to play with the children on the grass. They were called Lupe and Lalton. First we ran around the house then we went to pick berrys. The berries were delicous! We also played all sorts of other games. Then we came back to have a rest. There were only two chairs but there were three of us. So we raced to the chairs and me and lupe were the ones to get there first Lalton had to stand up! Then we found out that Lalton's brother picked all the berries, and there wasn't any left for us. So we went and told him to give us some but he didn't so we took some of his berries and he threw lots and lots of berries at us. So we started a new game, berry fight! It was lots of fun but i ended up with blue and red colour in my dress. But it was worth all the FUN!

Crunchiest buguette or is that it?

Friday, 17 August 2007 09:01 by hafa

I have always loved good food. Delicious food is something that I always look forward to. My biological built allows me to enjoy food without so much thought on the ingredients that goes into making it. A limitation though, is the high price that supermarkets put on them. Once of my all-time favourite snack is ‘garlic bread’. It costs £ 1.99 for ten little ready-to-bake slices and I use to have my daddy buy it once in a while. But I find it expensive, so I treat it as a luxury.

You know what; I just laid my hands on the recipe for garlic bread and I now can make garlic bread on my own. It is no more a luxury. My all time favourite is now palatable at my choice, barely at the cost of an off-the-shelf buguette which works for less than a half quid.

Happier then ever, today I went out with my Daddy and bought a really long buguette. Buying is one thing, but carrying it home is another. I felt it odd and funny to hand carry an extremely long buegette from the near by Sainsbury’s store.

To know that the crunchiest buguette has many uses beyond the product is good. But does it stand a reason for its length? I would have preferred slant cuts of it, ready-to-be-made instead of ready-to-bake, what would be your choice, if you ever had one.

My day out at Spectrum

Friday, 10 August 2007 09:06 by hafa

I did lots of things in Guildford and one of them was going to spetrum.

One friday afternoon, we went out in search of spetrum the icon for children entertainment in Guildford, Surrey. We got on to bus number 27 changed at town centre for bus number 100 which headed straight into spetrum and reached there in less then 30 minutes. The place appeared huge from outside and i was thrilled to go in and see what is in there for us. First we went to speacky's pirate ship in spetrum. Fortunatly this pirate ship wasn't running in the sea and there were no pirates on board. Instead there were lots of other things to do. There were trampolines, ball pits, slides, tunnels and many other stuff to do. Before i even realised i spent 90 minutes inside.

I was hungry and tired too.So i convised my dad and my little brother and saud be and Yooh to go to burger king. I enjoyed my food but above all i enjoyed the free toy they offered. By the time we finished they were ready to close and we left.

My long trip to Guildford

Wednesday, 1 August 2007 08:55 by hafa

It was the school holidays. But it wasn't a good start because of the non-stop rain and we were getting ready to go to Guildford. So we called a taxi and went to the trainstation to catch a rain. Everything was going well until we heard that the train had been cancelled because of the floodings in the railway.

My dad went to the customer service and they said 'there is a way you could get to guildford. If we take a train and stop to wolwerhampton, from there you could get a train to Clapham Junction and from there you could get the train to Guildford. So me and my family agreed to go. We looked at the train times and so that our train to Wolverhamton was leaving in 3 minutes so we ran and ran and got on the train just in time. When we were in the train it started slowing down a bit. Then it stopped. We had to get to Clapham Junction in just 2 minutes or else we will miss the train! Thankfully the train started to drive again. When the train stopped at Clapham Junction, we rushed out of the train got on to the train to Guildford from Clapham Junction. With seconds to spare the train drove on its way to Guildford. After an hour we were in Guildford and me and my family agreed never to go on three trains altogether ever again.
